Editorial policy
Bold Style Journal aims to make style writing lively, clear and dependable. We explain our reasoning, separate fact from interpretation and treat readers as people with their own preferences, not as problems to dress.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against reliable material available to us and take care with dates, terminology and descriptions. Where an article offers an interpretation or preference, its language should make that clear. We do not invent quotations, experiences or sources, and we revise copy when a claim needs qualification.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader's interest and the subject's merit. A commercial relationship does not buy favourable coverage or editorial approval. We avoid presenting personal taste as an objective rule.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or a passage that could mislead, contact us with the article and the point at issue. We review correction requests and update material when warranted; significant changes should be made clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid partnerships and other material created in collaboration with a partner are labelled clearly where they appear. Their presence does not determine independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, the image is identified as AI-generated.
Personal style should leave room to play
Clothes can communicate, surprise and change with the day. We look closely at how those choices work, while leaving the final word to the person getting dressed.
